*As your Doula, I am committed to supporting you and your support person to make informed decisions regarding care for you and your baby. I can NOT make decisions for you, nor will Doula interfere with your healthcare provider's treatment on your behalf. I do NOT perform any clinical tasks such as monitoring fetal heart tones, blood pressure, or checking dilation by vaginal exam while at home in early labor. If a Midwife or Doctor is not present during your birth, I can NOT take the place of a medical professional. It is my responsibility to always remain in the role of a Doula no matter the circumstances. It is my duty to notify authorities in case of an emergency.*
